For a long time, people kept asking me the same question:
“What exactly is the Start Over Movement?”
And I realised something important.
When something grows quickly — across books, events, media, education, and business — the story can become fragmented online. So this article exists to do one thing:
Why I Created the Start Over Movement
I didn’t create Start Over as a brand.
I created it as a response.
Over the years, I’ve met thousands of people who had one thing in common:
they weren’t broken — but they had been broken open by life.
Loss.
Trauma.
Business failure.
Divorce.
Illness.
Financial collapse.
Identity collapse.
What frustrated me was this:
most of the personal development world teaches strategies — but very few platforms help people rebuild who they are after everything falls apart.
Start Over was born from that gap.
Where It All Began: Real Stories, Not Theory
The Start Over Movement began with a simple idea:
Real people.
Real adversity.
Real comebacks.
That idea became the Start Over book series, where individuals share honest stories of rebuilding their lives — not from theory, but from lived experience.
What happened next surprised even me.
The series went on to achieve:
- Seven consecutive #1 bestselling volumes
- Multiple international Amazon category wins
- Hundreds of contributors stepping into visibility and leadership
One bestseller can be luck.
Seven tells you something deeper is happening.
What the Start Over Movement Is Today
Today, Start Over is no longer just a book series.
It has evolved into a global transformation ecosystem — designed to help people turn adversity into authority, leadership, and meaningful impact.
Here’s what that ecosystem includes.
Publishing
Publishing is the foundation.
The Start Over books don’t just tell stories — they turn lived experience into intellectual property, credibility, and long-term opportunity.
For many contributors, this is the first time their story has been seen as something powerful — not something to hide.
Live Events & Speaking Platforms
Start Over events take people from the page to the stage.
These aren’t motivational rallies.
They are identity-shift environments, where people who once felt invisible step into leadership, voice, and presence.
Many of our speakers had never spoken publicly before joining the movement.
Education & Accreditation (Coaching Heroes)
One of the biggest evolutions of Start Over has been education.
Through Coaching Heroes, now ICF-accredited, we help people turn personal transformation into professional capability — as coaches, mentors, and leaders.
This matters, because healing without structure doesn’t scale.
Education does.
Media & Broadcasting (Heroic Global Network)
The world doesn’t need more noise.
It needs better stories.
That’s why we launched Heroic Global Network / Heroic Broadcast News — a media platform focused on real human resilience, leadership, and truth, rather than outrage and sensationalism.
This is where Start Over moves from a movement into culture.
Business & Community Chapters
We’re also building Start Over Business Chapters — a global, values-led networking and leadership model inspired by systems like BNI, but built around transformation, contribution, and growth.
It’s business — but human-first.
Film, TV & Creative Projects
Some stories don’t belong only in books.
They belong on screens and stages.
Within the Start Over ecosystem, select stories are developed for documentaries, film, series, and stage productions — extending impact far beyond publishing.
What Makes Start Over Different
Most platforms ask:
“How can you improve your life?”
Start Over asks:
“Who do you become after everything you relied on disappears?”
This is not surface-level motivation.
It’s identity reconstruction.
That’s why Start Over resonates with:
- Survivors of trauma and loss
- Entrepreneurs rebuilding after failure
- Professionals starting again mid-life
- Coaches and leaders emerging from adversity
We don’t erase the past.
We reframe it as authority.
Is the Start Over Movement Successful?
By measurable standards, yes.
- $1M+ revenue in the first year
- Around 20% profit margin
- 300+ contributors and partners
- Accredited education programs
- International events
- Expanding media and business platforms
But success isn’t just numbers.
Success is seeing people reclaim their voice, confidence, and direction — and then help others do the same.
Why I’m Centralizing Everything Here
I’m starting this WordPress blog to centralise the narrative.
All my businesses — publishing, education, media, events, and partnerships — sit under one philosophical umbrella:
Helping people start over properly.
This blog will become:
- The home of clarity
- The place context lives
- The reference point for media, partners, and the public
- No fragmentation.
No confusion.
Just the truth, documented properly.
The Bigger Vision
The long-term vision for the Start Over Movement is simple, but ambitious:
To build one of the world’s most respected human-transformation ecosystems — where stories evolve into books, businesses, media, education, and legacy.
Not a trend.
Not a moment.
A platform that lasts.
In Closing
Your worst chapter does not define you.
But it can become the foundation of your greatest contribution — if you rebuild it properly.
That’s what the Start Over Movement exists to do.
